What you need to know about your benefits
Tucked With Care values the commitments and support of our Direct Care Staff. In appreciation of your hard work and dedicated service, we are pleased to offer a variety of economical Group Health Medical plans. Please carefully review this enrollment information so you understand the benefits being provided and can make the right choices for you and your family.
Current field employees that have satisfied the 90-day waiting period and work at least 30 hours per week are eligible for benefits. New or rehired field employees working at least 30 hours per week are eligible for benefits after completing the 90-day waiting period. You can enroll between your 60th and 90th day with coverage becoming effective the 1st of the month following 90 days of employment.
- Field employees working 30+ hours per week are eligible for all benefits EXCEPT the Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) plan
- The Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) plan is only available to Field employees that work 30 or more hours per week and are not covered by the Pennsylvania Welfare Benefit Fund program.
You can only elect or make changes to coverage during open enrollment or during your 60/90 day window upon hire. All elections made during open enrollment remain in effect for the entire plan year unless you have a qualified change in status. The 2019 plan year begins on August 1, 2019 and ends on July 30, 2020. The next open enrollment will be held in July 2020.
Open Enrollment is an important time of year as you must determine what coverage is best for you and your family. We recommend you review this guide in detail, so you make the right choices. During Open Enrollment you have the option to enroll yourself and your dependents in benefits and / or change or cancel your current benefits. Your current benefits will continue if you do not cancel them. If you want to elect new, make changes too, or cancel coverage, you need to take action. If you want to continue your current coverage without any changes nothing further is required. For your convenience, you can enroll:
